Ziegler's Way
Acrylic & Oil on Canvas
24” x 36”
2003
Commissioned by Hendrix Colleague, John Zieglar. In a letter from Zieglar in 2004, he wrote “After looking at your painting, virtually every day for a year, I am ready to offer my interpretation, for whatever it is worth! You have painted a morality tale ---that is, one that is about black, the light and dark. The human in the white shirt is about to confront the one dark and shadowy. The single white egret is about to take on five black crows. But with the dawning of a new day, one with clear, blue skies and a rising sun to burn off the fog, there is hope the light will prevail. Good will triumph over evil!!!”
